Description

Negril Escape is a 1950’s Key West style cottage located in the beautiful historic neighborhood of Flamingo Park in Downtown West Palm Beach. The property is lushly landscaped and tastefully decorated with a mix of Florida and the Caribbean, popularly known as “Floribbean” style. The cottage is walking distance to many area attractions including City Place which features shopping, dining, nightlife and live entertainment in a beautiful outdoor setting. The cottage is also walking distance to the Convention Center, intra-coastal waterway, The Kravis Center and Norton Museum of Arts. A 5 minute drive will get you to Palm Beach Island and the amazing beaches, Worth Avenue and all the upscale splendor it offers. A 5 minute drive will also get you to Clematis Street, The Palm Beach Outlet Mall, The Palm Beach Zoo, The Palm Beach International Airport, Rapids Waterpark plus numerous other area attractions.

The Patio

The patio is spacious and furnished to fit everyone in your party. It is the perfect place to relax, sip lemonade and enjoy the warmth of the Florida sun. A large gas grill is also provided, it is a great place to enjoy a backyard bar-b-cue in our large fully fenced backyard. Private lagoon shaped pool for your enjoyment. 

Common Areas

The open floor plan, with those big French Doors is perfect for entertaining. The living area has a plush slipcover sofa bed that pulls out to a queen bed. There are additional comfortable chairs in front of a 50” flat screen Smart TV with full cable and HBO. Netflix, You Tube and Hulu can also be watched on our Smart TV’s. There's the fully equipped chef's kitchen, a beautifully designed space with gourmet appliances created for those who LIVE in the kitchen (when you're not dining at one of the amazing nearby restaurants). Off the kitchen is a lovely dining area that overlooks the open living area.

The Accommodations

The property is newly renovated in 2017 and features a brand new kitchen which includes quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances. The bathrooms are also newly renovated and gorgeous new bamboo floors throughout. Shiplap paneling accents the living and dining room. Whitewashed coastal accent walls adds a relaxed beachy feel to the home. It sleeps eight if the queen sofa bed is utilized. The master bedroom features a grand King size bed, flat screen tv and plenty of closet space. The master bathroom is en-suite and brand new. The second bedroom features twin beds, smart flat screen tv and spacious closets. The third bedroom features a queen size bed. A brand new second bathroom is fully remodeled and stunning. Free parking for two cars are included and plenty of free on-street parking is available throughout the neighborhood.

The Neighborhood

Flamingo Park is one of West Palm Beach’s most prestigious historic neighborhoods with homes dating back from the 1920’s to present. The houses are characterized as mixture of Spanish Mission, Mediterranean Revival, Frame Vernacular and mid-century Ranch architectural styles. The tree lined streets are picturesque and a pleasure to tour when you are not busy enjoying the numerous area attractions. Lovely House in Convenient Location

Three young professionals rented the house for the summer and had a great experience! We were there for work purposes rather than vacation, but on evenings and weekends we found that the house was conveniently located near beaches, downtown West Palm Beach, City Place (shops, restaurants, bars), the Palm Beach Zoo, and a nice park. You could bike to the intracoastal waterway or Palm Beach Island, but any other beaches you would need to drive to. You're also only a few minutes away from multiple grocery stores. The house was clean when we arrived, the beds were comfortable, and the house is nicely furnished (very true to the photos in the listing). Cheri, the owner, and Angela, the property manager, were always available if we needed anything and helped resolve any issues quickly. We stayed at the house during the construction of the pool, so we were not able to use the yard (we knew this in advance), but the pool was mostly finished before we left and looks great! This will be a wonderful addition to the property. We would stay here again!

Lovely house.

A lovely house in a great, historic neighborhood. Convenient to City Place and other shopping/etc. The furnishings were comfortable, the decor attractive and fresh. The management was also very responsive.

This house is very cute, the pictures are very accurate and it was in a great location for us. We grilled a lot and soaked up the sun in the backyard. It's a quiet street but still so close to so much, including the shops at City Place. Check in was easy and Angella the property manager is very helpful answering questions. I would stay here again anytime.

Excellent location.

What a supportive group of people to rely on during your visit. The location is excellent. Publix down the street. Close to the beach and for us, it was near our friends home. Thank you so much for an absolutely WONDERFUL time. The property and location are absolutely OUTSTANDING for our needs. I'm always looking into properties for business reasons and this worked out PERFECT for all. The close proximity to downtown, our work location and the back patio were appreciated by all. As I am usually renting for business purposes, I feel obligated to say that this place is on the top of my list for my stay next year. After traveling the globe and visiting multiple countries I settled into West Palm Beach. It has been home for over 15 years and I love living here. There is always so much to see and do and with the new stadium opening more live events will be available. I still frequently travel so the concierge Angela will be available as your local contact when I am out of town.
